Deng Jia Kun was born in Budapest in 2008. He started playing the piano when he was four. He has achieved outstanding results at several regional, national and international piano competitions. He won second place at the Seventh György Ferenczy Piano Competition in Budapest, and he received the main prize at the Fifth Irma Szanyi Regional Piano Competiton in Székesfehérvár, and the first prize in Kaposvár at the 3rd and 4th Lívia Rév Regional Piano Competitions. He has chosen music as a career but he is also interested in the sciences and languages, so he regularly takes part in academic competitions as well.
